Our Canadian Facility

SeaStar Solutions – Richmond, British Columbia, facility has earned a reputation as a world leader in the design and manufacture of hydraulic and thermal technology products for our target markets.

Our products are shipped to more than 50 countries around the world, with about 70 percent destined for markets in the United States. We currently employ approximately 350 employees.

Our history includes:

  • 1974 — Teleflex Incorporated purchased the marine hydraulic steering line of business from Capilano Engineering Ltd. in Vancouver to create Teleflex (Canada) Ltd.
  • 1988 — We moved from the original plant on West 2nd Ave. in Vancouver to our current location on No. 6 Road in Richmond. Since then, our operations have expanded to encompass three adjacent buildings.
  • 2002 – Teleflex Canada becomes an ISO 9001:2000 registered company.
  • 2011 – Acquired by H.I.G. Capital
  • 2013 – Changed names from Teleflex Canada to SeaStar Solutions
  • 2014 — Acquired by American Securities
